Loretta J. Tracy, 78, of Olney, Illinois and formerly of Crawford County, Illinois, passed away Wednesday June 5, 2013 at 4:54 PM at St. Vincent Seton Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Born on April 8, 1937, in Robinson, Illinois, she was the daughter of Franklin D. Kamplain and Elizabeth “Jeanette” (Reynolds) Kamplain. On October 4, 1958, she married Lowell Dean Tracy who preceded her in death on October 30, 1991.
Loretta was co-owner with her husband for many years in gas stations and taverns. She was also a factory worker at Lexel Manufacturing in Hutsonville, Illinois, as well as the Olney Garment Factory and the shoe factory in Olney, Illinois. Loretta was a member of the Robinson High School Class of 1956. She loved sewing, gardening, collecting Teddy Bears, dancing and spending time with her family.
Loretta is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Phyllis and Jeff Smith of Olney, IL; a son and daughter-in-law Rick and Faye Tracy of Robinson, IL; six grandchildren Natosha and Shane Buchanan of Greenup, Il, Erica and Greg Staley of Annapolis, IL, Alisha Tracy of Robinson, IL, Max Scull , Derek Tracy and Landon Tracy all of Robinson, IL; eight great-grandchildren Mason Wibbenmeyer, Cierra Staley,Page Wibbenmeyer, Maddison Staley, Brianne McKinnkey, Marshall Sloan, Eli Buchanan and Lydia Tracy; two brothers and a sister-in-law Earl and Sheila Kamplain of Robinson, IL and Ronald Kamplain of Bridgeport, IL; three sisters and two brothers-in-laws Naydine Sanifer of Robinson, IL, F. Louise and Randall Melton of Robinson, IL and Gail and Steve Hall of Robinson, IL; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Loretta is preceded in death by her parents; husband and sister Rose Marie “Rosie” Dorney
Danny Dennis will officiate the funeral service and burial will be in Harmony Cemetery north of Oblong, IL.
